Street Interviews- Fearless

Communication Starts Here

This program lays the foundation for confidence in any social setting—from classroom presentations to future job interviews.

    Overview of the program

    What It Is

One of the greatest fears young people face is speaking to strangers—especially in public. Our Street Interviews program is designed to eliminate that fear in the most empowering way possible. In this activity, participants are guided to conduct short, purposeful interviews with people in public settings.

Whether it’s asking fun questions, getting opinions on social topics, or starting conversations with strangers, your child learns how to speak clearly, handle unexpected responses, and break through anxiety—all while being supported by experienced mentors.

The Street Interviews program places your child in real-world environments where they engage the public with guided questions, topics, or discussions. These could range from light-hearted questions like “What’s your favorite life advice?” to socially relevant themes like “What does confidence mean to you?”

But this isn’t random or unsupervised—every interaction is prepared, practiced, and reviewed with a GenRaise mentor, ensuring your child is both supported and challenged in a healthy, empowering way.

    How It Works

    From Hesitation to Communication: .

The Step-by-Step Journey to Social Confidence

    Pre-Interview Training:

Teens are taught how to approach people respectfully, introduce themselves, and handle rejection gracefully.

    Mentored Street Time:

In public areas (parks, campuses, malls), they’ll conduct interviews under supervision, starting with observation and moving to participation.

    Reflection & Feedback:

After each session, mentors provide personal feedback and help teens analyze what worked and where to grow.

    Progress Tracking:

Each participant tracks their comfort level and communication milestones—because growth you can measure is growth that lasts.

    Why It Matters

Why Learning to Speak to Strangers Without Fear is the First Step Toward True Confidence

Repeated interactions dissolve the fear of judgment and awkwardness.

Teens learn to organize thoughts and communicate clearly under pressure.

Each successful exchange builds internal belief: “I can do this.”

Teens experience unpredictable responses and learn to stay composed, respectful, and engaged.

Not fake bravado, but authentic, earned self-assurance.
